LETTERS EVERYWHERE

I LOVE LETTERS. I love the way they speak to you, tease you, entice you to look closer, be it on a poster, a shop sign, a traffic indication, a metro station, an exhibition banner... I’m a type fiend, I see letters everywhere in Paris, and being a graphic designer, I also see Paris in letters...

When you say Paris, the first image that comes to mind for the great majority of people is this...

But when I first arrived here, if ever I felt sad or lonely or angry, this is where I would go...

I immediately would feel that in a “place” as beautiful as this, everything was alright again… it really does live up to its name.

 

And now that I have lived here for 21 years, and am a committed left-banker, this is where I love to go when I’m feeling blue...

 They even GROW letters here!!!

 I see letters everywhere, they even sneak into my home on sunny days!
