It has been extraordinary to feel the fire ignited by Barack Obama and his message of change sweeping through our country. I wanted him to burn down the decaying Democratic house on February 5th, so his and our Phoenix could rise up from the ashes. The United States could begin again.
I expected too much for one day. The race goes on. So be it.
I'm not going to let the politics of politics tear me down. Hillary can play her games with the American consciousness and public by appearing on the Fox Network on February 11th for a debate. And what about Obama? Jane Hamsher writes on The Huffington Post about Roger Ailes' joke comparing Barack Obama to Osama Bin Laden, and Harry Reid rightfully nixing a Democratic Fox debate in Nevada ...
... Fox is not a news outlet, it's an openly partisan opinion factory and the Democrats should not be legitimizing them (and allowing them to recruit Democratic viewers to propagandize to) by doing this.
Today, I am inspired more than ever that we can heal our nation -- and that Barack Obama is the candidate who can lead us to that place. Today, I see a vision of Obama presenting a new face of America to those around the world. He is repairing the damage of how other peoples and nations feel about us -- and reinvigorating the confidence we have in our own selves. His power comes from solid roots as he sweeps the Old Guard away -- putting an end to the Bush corruption -- and he installs progressive individuals and policies in their place. His character, judgment, and experience help him to lead the Democratic Congress in the right direction.
Let him burn down the dilapidated Democratic house so it can rise again!
